Step-by-step guide to integrating a biometric device

Purpose
Maintaining great attendance is crucial to ramping up workplace productivity. HRStop helps you achieve this by recording biometric punches in real time. This article explains how to integrate biometric devices that support ADMS (Attendance Device Management System) with HRStop. The best part—HRStop offers out-of-the-box integration with supported biometric devices, saving you the additional cost and effort typically required for integration.

Prerequisites
Before proceeding, make sure:
- Your biometric device supports ADMS (Attendance Device Management System), typically found in eSSL or Biomax models
- The device is connected to the internet
- You have access to the device’s Comm/ADMS settings
Step 1: Confirm enrollment numbers
Ensure that the enrollment numbers used in your biometric device match those in HRStop.
- Confirm that employees’ enrollment numbers (the numbers with which employees are registered in the biometric device) are the same as their enrollment numbers in HRStop.
- You can get the list of all employee enrollment numbers in HRStop at Control Panel → Analytics → Attendance → Enrollment.
Step 2: Configure device ADMS settings
- On your biometric device, go to Menu → Comm → ADMS

Save the settings and ensure the device is connected to the internet.
Step 3: Share the required information with HRStop
Once the device is configured, share the following with HRStop Support:
- Device serial number (SN)
- A few enrolled user IDs (to verify test punches)
- Confirmation that enrollment numbers match
Our team will complete the configuration on the server side and confirm the connection status.
