How-to
Assets settings (general and configure)
This article covers assets (resources such as laptops, phones, or other company property assigned to employees).
First, look at the settings (configuration options) you need to enable the assets module, and the related settings you can enable or disable.
Go to the control panel → settings → modules option (section where different features can be turned on or off).
In the modules section, search for assets and enable the assets module.
Two more options are available in the assets settings. You can enable asset acknowledgement (confirmation given by employees that they have received/verified the assigned asset) so that employees who see assets assigned to them can acknowledge whether the assignment is correct.
When you enable asset acknowledgement, employees can provide this acknowledgement.
If you want to make the comment mandatory (require employees to add a remark while acknowledging) when employees acknowledge an asset, select this option too, and then click update (save changes).
You can now see the assets module in your control panel, and asset acknowledgement is enabled for employees.
